Tripod, the latest project from the Literature Network has hit the streets. Tripod is a magazine of new writing for the three cities of Leicester, Nottingham and Derby. Issue one of Tripod launched with a fantastic line-up including interviews with literary superstars Iain M Banks and Jean Binta Breeze, new short stories from Drew Gummerson and Nicola Monaghan and of course listings of all the best live literature happenings around the Three Cities. And because literature doesn't only exist on the page neither does Tripod. | TRIPOD update – March 2008 We are currently busy planning the way forward for Tripod magazine. The 3 Cities project has now been completed, and depending on levels of funding from elsewhere, we hope to produce a further magazine, in the spirit of Tripod, and to extend its reach to cover the whole East Midlands region. We are seeking funding to undertake market research among writers and readers in the East Midlands, and intend to produce a small sample magazine to send to all those on our contact lists, in order to give you the option of becoming a subscriber to the new magazine. In the meantime, if you are interested in being kept informed of progress, and joining our contact list, please email Mike Wilson on mpw.wpm@tiscali.co.uk | ||
